Fillers

With ageing, the skin loses the collagen that helps to shape and support it. This results in deepening of natural lines and wrinkles. The effects of ageing can be accelerated by smoking, sun exposure, air pollution and stress. This results in a loss of volume in the face, giving sunken cheeks.

Dermal fillers, like Juvederm® and Restylane® are effective treatments for deeper lines and wrinkles. They also help to fill follows and smoothen the contours of the face to achieve younger-looking skin.

How it works

Hyaluronic acid facial dermal fillers, such as Restylane®, act by replenishing and restoring lost hyaluronic acid deep within the skin to help you achieve a more youthful look.

Advanced uses of dermal fillers

Lip sculpting. Creates symmetry and fullness of the lips.

Cheek augmentation. Improves facial contour, restores volume and balances facial features.

Injectable nose job. Improves the shape and contour of the nose without invasive surgery. As it is an augmentation procedure, it can enhance the shape of the nose rather than reduce its size.

Tear trough correction / eye lift. Fills in hollow areas beneath the eyes.

Chin augmentation. Improves the volume and definition of the chin.

Injectable face lift. Replaces volume of soft tissue lost with ageing.

What to expect

Dermal fillers are a minimally invasive treatment, involving injections into treatment areas, commonly the fine lines and wrinkles of the skin. Results are immediately visible, giving a more youthful appearance, with minimal downtime.

Results

The results of dermal fillers are visible immediately. Minimal swelling and bruising may be experienced following treatment. Results usually last for four to 18 months.

Recovery time

Most patients are able to return to work the same day, although redness at the injection site, along with minimal swelling and bruising may occur.
